The sixteen teams advancing to the Finals took part in a double-elimination bracket with Bo5 matches.The top four ranked teams per region advanced to the Finals stage. The eight teams per region took part in a regional round-robin with Bo5 matches to determine their ranking. For each region, the four teams advancing from the Qualifiers were joined by four additional teams invited to participate in Stage 2.The final four remaining teams per region advanced to the Round of 32. The thirty-two teams in each region took part in a double-elimination bracket with Bo5 matches.The league administrators selected 128 teams to compete in the four regions, organized by time zone: Pacific Standard Time, Eastern Standard Time, Greenwich Mean Time, and Hong Kong Time. Teams were eligible to register if the clan they represented was ranked in the Top 200 global or the Top 5 local leaderboard.

JPPro began to shift the ball quickly and counterattack effectively. The game started to open up as both teams got to grips with the pitch size and the conditions. Before Max trusted his left foot in striking the ball into the bottom corner to restore the two-goal advantage to JPPro. However, Bloomsbury responded in positive fashion with a well taken goal to make it 2-1. The boys doubled their lead mid-way through the second quarter, with Albert following in at the far post after a great cross from Jacob. He noticed the Bloomsbury keeper off his line and clipped the ball over him from outside the box. After a very tight start to the first quarter, Ben's (the U12 JPPro goalkeeper) excellent distribution was highlighted as he clipped a ball to Max high up the pitch. The pitch was very tight and a sticky muddy surface that meant that both teams needed to really focus upon securing the ball and shifting the ball quickly. And also, the excitement about knowing that they were facing a real challenge against a well organised Bloomsbury side. A great experience for the boys and an opportunity to play at a venue like no other they may have played at. With others deciding to drive to Regents Park.

It became apparent to the coaching team that this would be a game requiring JP Players to dig in, win the battle on the pitch & be patient before anything else.Īfter a frustrating 1st period it required a positive input of encouragement and some subtle tactical changes from the JP Coaches at the break to galvanise the team in the 2nd period and it quickly led to a 1st goal by the excellent Zac White to break the deadlock & grab hold of the match.īuilt on an excellent defensive back line - led superbly by Ayo Ojo - it wasn’t long before these changes and the renewed endeavour and fight of the JP Pro players made a difference and the opportunities and goals started to flow with the excellent Kyan Okoli grabbing a well deserved hat-trick alongside a clever free kick from Dillion Conway and a 6th and final goal for Zac White which aside from the opponents grabbing a couple of consolation goals at the very end of the match capped a fine display from the JP Pro playersĪll aboard the JPL Express!!! With the U12 JPL side playing against Bloomsbury in Central London, a number of the boys and parents decided to take the train to the game. The initial period of the match was a frustrating affair with our opponents competitive spirit & dogged approach to the game frustrating the early attempts of the JP Pro team to impose their usual possession based play on the match. JP Pro welcomed opponents Camden Elite to Laurette and following last weeks return to winning way after Lockdown 2 were hoping to continue the winning streak to their inaugural campaign in the JPL
